![]() It seems an odd choice that it hasn’t been made available in the U.S. ![]() as a satellite to the version of “VOWS” that was released without both of the songs instead of abandoned outright to bonus track status and in the case of “Withdraw”, not available as a download at all in the west! The only way to get an official version of it is with the import Aussie/NZ CD, vinyl or download, (of course thankfully we have the You Tube clip above to rectify the situation at least to listen to it)! The closest song in the realm is “Call Me” which also inhabits a classic framework thus making these 2 songs a kind of lost ‘single’that in my opinion should have been released in the U.S. The song is steeped in the most familiar framework of any of the songs on the Aussie/NZ release and thus, perhaps unintentionally, sets it apart from the rest of the album in a way. …possibly an appropriate tone for the review as for the tone of this song “Withdraw”, which is Kimbra’s passionate and aching slow ballad in 6/8 time!Īny vocalist worth their salt has one and this is hers! My apologies for the lateness of the post of this review…let’s just say life takes over whether we like it to or not…
